Default PG7 ECU confirmation, need help

Ok, I have a PG7 ECU that I bought thinking it was from an 88-89 Integra. However, it seems as thought it may be from the 86-87 Teg. Can some one confirm this? The date on the side of the ECU is 87.3.09 and it is coded, 37820-pg7-684. I bought it to try it out on an 88 D16a6 motor. Will this work? Also, can these ECU's be chipped? There are vendors online that are selling chips for them, however I heard that they cannot be chipped. Is there a way to tell the 86-87 ECU's from the 88-89 ECU's?

It was manufactured in 87 so that means it was in an 88 integ. I heard that you won't even be able to start the car(if its an MPFI) if it came from an 86-87 integ. Something about the vacuum lines or something.
