Performance Thermostat?
Are there any performace thermostats for a D16? I know that spoon and mugen make special thermostats for the B series but are there any companies that make them for the D series?

again, OEM honda is best. if the motor temp is too low it will loose effectiveness because of too much friction. under extreme conditions, like N1 racing of course a lower temp thermostat may help in preserving the length of the motor's life by reducing the overall temp of the engine. i'm willing to bet mugen and spoon test their thermostats under these conditions and during normal driving these temperatures are not realized. thus, using an aftermarket thermostat will probably not be as effective because most people are not traveling 200 miles at 8000 rpm under extremely grueling conditions...
