Default Performance Tech

Anyone know where I can get a good performance tech book for imports? I saw a SCC Honda/Acura book written by Mike Kokima. Is that any good?
I've looked on www.howstuffworks.com and have found very good info but am looking for something that I can carry around with me as well.

Well I live in Korea and subscriptions never seem to get here. It sucks. Learning here is great. I've learned so much but would like to read on my own that way I can ask more educated questions.

HRM.....I think that the books are too general....you have to get one on each subject. to actually learn good stuff.

were you planning to have a book on-hand just in case something urgent comes up? there are various resources you can find. most of them old, but still able to teach you enough to get by. i picked a few up at borders, regarding engine installation, some books on fuel and ignition systems, and these were all strictly honda-acura related. i just can't seem to recall the title and author. so, just try your nearest bookstore. good luck

Well, I would really like to just get more into the technical side of engines. I'm always amazed by people who know things like how to convert torque to horsepower, which material is best for cams, ect. I wont be driving my car for 8 more months so Im pretty sure nothing urgent is going to come up.
Unfortunately, I have no bookstores nearby. If I did, there wouldn't be any books on Japanese cars in it.
Thanks
