JDM H22 egr problems
i've had my 94 accord/H22 hybrid for about a week now. A common problem has come up that i haven't been able to solve or find a definitive answer for. I have a jdm p13 ECU that triggers the EGR lift valve when starting the motor, which pain in the *** as it is, creates vacuum at idle and creates a horrible and erratic idle, though most of the time just dies. So, i run the car with the EGR lines disconnected. This works beautifully for about 5-20 minutes, sometimes less. You guessed it, the CEL comes on and i'm in safety mode. Removing the a11 pin simply enables safemode instantly. The ECU must be fooled into thinking it's functioning, If anybody is this Godly on the subject or ANY kind of solution, it would be tremendously appreciated.
thanks
thanks
Is the egr removable?
I had/have this problem with my IACV and I simply put a piece of aluminum between it and the intake manifold....ECU still thinks it works but I have it blocked off.

to keep your p13 ecu: take the egr valve off and block the hole in the intake manifold gasket with something (or buy the hondata IM gasket). that's all there is to it. you shouldn't get an idle problem with it taken off (i don't). the CEL that will come on ~10 minutes into driving doesn't matter. that doesn't put it into safe mode or limp mode or whatever it's called.
