Anyone know where I could pass my 95 civic hatch w d16z6 swap "under the table". It has a CEL, and I'm pretty sure the 3in exhust +can isnt going to help. Do they also run the VIN number?

 

Lazy. Fix the CEL, clap on a stock exhaust system and stop trying to take shortcuts. Like you didn't know this was coming. Poor planning is a bitch.

 

Exhaust size won't matter. Everything from the cat back to the intake must be stock or CARB approoved. What's the cel code for?

This is dependent on the state you are in...here you can't have a CEL on, or the 'puter throwing any codes (therein is a hint), and the emissions must be clean. It helps if everything appears stock. Or you can figure out how to get a P.O. box in a county that doesn't require "the test"!

 

fix the cel, don't worry about the exhaust and odds are a regular smog tech won't even notice the swap tbh
