Default p72 or p28?????

I will be converting my obd2 to obd1 and i needed to know what ecu should i run...

My situation....
I have a gsr with stock gsr IM and will be putting ctr cams in. I want to raise my vtec crossover and raise my fuel cutoff. I not sure what i want to do with the IM yet, either get a skunk2 or just port my gsr IM.

Which comes to my question now.....
I am i better off with a p72 or p28?

Or it doesnt matter?

If you keeping the stock IM go with a p72, if you are getting an aftermarket IM go with whatever is cheaper (usually p28 and get it chipped)

I socket ECU's for $50 shipped so keep that in mind when looking for a ecu. If you can get a 28 ecu for more than $50 cheaper than p72, stick with that

You can, but your secondaries wont work, that is why I said, if you have the GSR IM go with the p72 ecu.

Good stuff.

Anyway to disable secondaries with the p72?

unplug them, remove them, or buy a new intake manifold. But if you have the GSR intake manifold, keep them, they are good for flatening your torque curve.
