i think i broke the vtec oil pressure switch while having the engine between cars, is this it:
if so i can get one from honda, or even glue the peice i broke back on (a plastic cylinder)
What is the 'electrical load detector'? i have no idea where to begin looking
EDIT: btw engine is a B18c4

No, that is not the VTPS. This is the VTPS, which is located on the VTEC solenoid:

What your red arrow is pointing to is some kind of evap solenoid...

Ahhh you mean this?

Is it common for these to go wrong? and will this 'evap solenoid' be a big problem, i know somebody who plugged the hole with a screw, would this be ok until i get one?

yea thats where the VTPS should be, but I don't see it in your picture. It should be a GREEN colored sensor sticking out of the VTEC solenoid. Perhaps you have a JDM OBD2 engine or VTEC solenoid which do not have a VTPS. It's rare for them to go bad.
If you don't have a VTPS, there's a wire trick you can do to bypass the VTPS and please the ecu. You take the power wire for the VTPS and splice it to the VT Solenoid wire; then take the VTPS ground wire and ground it to the body of the VT Solenoid housing.......but....you might NOT have to ground though...

The engine is a B18c4 which i beleive is quit rare in the US which may be why the VTPS is slightly different to what u usually see, i found out from my friend who has done the same swap what pins to bridge to get rid of the CEL.
thanks for your help anyway
EDIT: although i still dont know what this code 20 is, bad earth?

Actually a B18C4 is a Euro B18C engine and is quite rare to find in the US. In the US, all VTEC engines have a VTPS, but in Japan all of the OBD2 B-series engines don't have a VTPS.
Good to hear you fixed the VTPS problem, but are you still getting a code 20 even after you guys fixed the VTPS? have you tried resetting the ecu?
thanks for your help anyway

Hey guys, I'm making same swap. B18C4 to EK3 '97, but I have some problem. I have engine cables from EK3 and reduction from OBD2a to OBD1. When I want start engine i have to push full throttle and the idle is very low, about 700rpm. Without throttle I cant start. Can someone help me?
