ok i got p-30 jdm motor and the only difference between the p30 i had it in and the jdm one is the evap purge control valve/syl. and i was wondering not having that in can throw a map sensor code if not y am i throwning a map sensor code ive dont went throw 2 map sensors and i know they both can be bad! and if anyone knows what are the colors for the wires on the knock sensor are?????

 

the knock sensor is located on the back of the block u should of got the knock sensor off the jdm harness and ran your own wire to the p30....not sure about your map sensor problem..bump for this man...

having the evap or not should not throw a engine light for map. make sure that maps o ring is good or not leaking or test the map using specs from a manual.

 

I can't recall if the EVAP & MAP sensor plugs use the same style of plug, but perhaps you confused & crossed the EVAP & MAP sensor plugs. Double check that. And reset your ecu while your at it.

 

thanks for the info... does anyone else have anything they might know! im thinking i might have a leak in the throttle body but i think that was just cause inrregular idle... but ill check the map sensor... but i dont have my manual with me if anyone can inform me on how to do that right now i would appreciate that much! thanks again
