P30 CHIPPED ECU?
wat up everyone i just wanted some oppinions on who would think a P30 ecu that's chipped and has no speed governor or rev limmiter would work better than a chipped p28 ecu on a mild crvtec? here is the pic of the chipped p30 but i just dont know what kind of chipp is it heres the pic let me know i have heard biased oppinions....

Its stock. I have the same one. The reason I would say that it is stock is because it is soldered to the board. Also it looks the same as the one that I took out of my ecu. I had my chip desoldered and had a socket put in.

P28 = P30 as far as I'm concerned. There's no huge advantage of either.
I wouldn't run some mystery chip though. And having no rev limiter is retarded. You need a safety net in case of that rare mis-shift so you don't blow up the motor by your own foot.

Some previous posters are correct. You may think it looks like a custom chip, but that chip has a stock program. Sometimes they come like that from the factory ... thats a stock ecu.
Don't remove the P30 rev limiter unless your motor is built to rev safely rev past 8000+ rpm. Would'nt want to see you throw a rod, spin a bearing, or float valves.
Speed limiter? I guess ... if you have the need to go that fast.

It could also be an aftermarket chip with the external rom disabled, sort of worthless in a way. But it does appear stock, only a tard would solder it straight to the board with no socket.
Either way, you'll need it socketed. Then you can get a chip with what you want on there.

that ecu is stock... see the eprom brand? OKI...
some ecus came with an external rom for some reason, the main 66k is empty so if you cut j-1 you'll get a solid cel.
