I have a 98civic ex but with a b16sir2. I am currently running the b16 with my old d16 sohc wiring harness and ecu b/c the b16 ecu and harness were causing problems. well anyways the setup is fine and all but my specs are still d16 specs, can i scan my p2p chip to maybe at least b16 specs or maybe even type R specs? thank you.

 

Find a good B16 ecu that u know works fine. I would definetly do that before i started messing with an OBD2 ecu. Just my opinion...

 

what about a obd2 to obd1 conversion using a type R or gsr ecu? Has anybody ever heard anything about the weapon R obd2 to obd1 conversion or the skunk2 conversion kit? how good will this work?

 

All conversion harnesses are well worth it. OBD2 is so restictive. I use to have one of the conversion harnesses, for me and from what I've heard from others is that your idle will lope a little. Still well worth it to go OBD1 anyone will tell you that...
