I want to know the boundaries of this ECU. I want it to have the ability to map up to 10k. The springs I want top out at 9600 and the cams make peak power in the high 8k range.

I actually want to do this build in couple years, so it wont be anytime too soon. I just want to get all my research out of the way. I actually have a Nissan with an SR20. But the tuning solutions for this motor are not as good as Honda stuff. I actually was looking into running a P28 w/ crome on my motor.

Now, I know I will prolly get flamed, and many people have an opinion on why I shouldnt do this, or have questions of why I want to do this. If you want to comment, plz gimme my answer first, and then I would love to hear opinions on how I can go about this build better.

TBH, Honda motors have much more research and technology when it comes to running ITBs. Most nissans run a turbo set-up. I want to be different. So I will be on this forum a lot researching ITBs and theory/setups. What ive found so far, is a P28 running crome is excellent software for ITBs.

Anyway, Im rambling. Thanks for any answers/comments.

Ok i will get into my opinions about your setup later but as for answers to your questions here goes

http://www.hondata.com/manuals....html

the above website is basically the manual for <crome> if you read that page it will give you an outline of whats going on and answer some of your questions

screen shots of <crome>

in answer to how high you can go with <crome> is 11,000RPM

proof right here

hope this helps you get started!

as for your setup and goals thats another thing!

I know this is an interesting post and a setup that you prolly have many opinions about. I did d/l crome before posting this just to get an idea of the program compared to others I have used.

I have been told the sensors used in the applications are similar to each other in the values that will be received from voltages. Also, crome will help me dial it in it seems. The biggest thing I will have to look into is the ignition.

Like I said, it will be a long time before I get a chance to do my set-up. But I want to be fully ready with all the information I need before I dive in, and ironically, a Honda ECU and crome seem to be a good platform for what I want. I would definetaly be open to hearing about concerns and open for discussions.
