Default P28 bypasses O2 sensor so...???

Since the reprogrammed p28 ecu or stock ecu bypasses the Oxygen sensor, could I just plug the bung on the header and take the O2 sensor out? Open up that secondary pipe a little?

It doesn't use the secondary O2 sensor (the one after the catylic converter), not the primary O2 sensor in the headers, it still uses that one.
