Would having a bad primary o2 sensor cause your car to fail emmisions in NY?
Cause i just got my car inspected and all I have done to it is intake, header, and high flow cat and I failed emissions.
Thanks In Advance

Sure thats not my CO was 2% higher, instead of CO2?
If the CO is high and the HC is high, you are running rich FWIW. Closed loop should have zeroed it in. Start with the O2 sensor and go from there. Otherwise it is a problem with the cat. Poisoned, cold, etc...

well i dont think it has to do with the cat cause its only like a week old and its aftermarket.
I do get a CEL for the primary o2 but just wanna make sure thats the problem before i go out and fix it and find out it was something else

Also it didn't fail that bad to be a cat. It helps alot to drive the car for a half hour moderate-beat to get the motor real hot before you go to the emissions place. I also think you can retard your ignition a degree or two to get a little "cleaner"(lower HC) burn.?. I think.

did you say you failed emissions in New York. Cause if so you can't, NY doesn't do emissions the next state close to us that does emissions is NJ. you might be getting scammed into getting your car worked on when it doesn't need to be. check it out BUT NO EMISSIONS IN NY
