Default oxygen sensor problems. CEL 41.

quick history:
Bought a 00 civic dx hatch back in 2003.
Got out of the honda scene and used the car as a commuter car.
This year i have to smog the car to register and unfortunately CEL 41 shows up.

So i go to inspect the oxygen sensor and this is what i found.

and i also broke one of the bolts for the heat shield while trying to remove it.

The sensor is also stuck. I cant take it out.

My question is:
Is the crack in the manifold causing the code 41?
Will the CEL go away if i just change the sensor?
Do i have to buy a whole new manifold and cat?

Thanks in advance guys.

u defitintely need a new manifold. if u replace the o2 sensor it'll go bad again.
does ur car deposit alot of carbon through the exaust and burns lots of fuel?

chances are the crack isnt making that happen, unless air is getting out of it, which it doesnt look to be big enough...its probably just a worn o2 sensor. however you may want to replace it for piece of mind with something aftermarket that is stainless steel...would probably be cheaper too. I dont know how it works in your area, would they consider this crack a safety issue or something.
