Default Overheating problem...help

I have a B20 vtec in a 92 hatch.....i pulled the motor out and just put it back in. The car runs good but it overheats, i don't think coolant is making it around the motor, is it possible that my coolant hoses that run into the firewall are backwards or would that not make a difference? When i turn the heater on, it doesn't blow warm air. I know the water pump is good and the thermostat is good as well.

I'm confused please help
