Overheating issues with civic
So I have a 1999 Honda Civic Lx with 140k miles and I have been struggling with an overheating issue. I noticed about a month ago that my car was running hot when I idle and even hotter when the AC is on. The car would sometimes even kinda bounce and sometimes it would start up rough. So I noticed my condeser fan wasn't spinning but I replaced the motor and my thermostat and it ran better. About a week later I noticed that the car was still over hearing while idling but it wasn't bouncing around or anything like it was before. I checked the radiator fan and the coolant levels and everything looked good. I took it to sears and had them run a cooling test. They said they did a coolant compression test using a pump-like device directly into the radiator where cap was and that the car failed the test. My check engine light came on when I was driving home and I checked the codes and had a misfire on my 2nd cylinder. I thought this sounded like a blown head gasket and so I bought some bars head gasket sealant and followed the directions and the car ran great for a week. I noticed the smell of antifreeze today when I was on the freeway and when I piped my hood there was coolant all over everything and my runoff reservoir was steaming. I put some more coolant in the radiator and made sure the cap was on tight and continued driving but the cars still running hot. I popped the hood again again but there wasn't any steam and I didn't see any leaks anywhere. I noticed when I squeezed the big hose coming out of the top of the radiator when I was idling my temperature would drop and get closer where it's supposed to, but I'm not sure what that means. I'm not sure what the issue is: there isn't any milkyness to my oil and my exhaust is fine, so I'm not sure if it's my head gasket, and I don't think it's my water pump because my cars not overly loud and there's no water leaking anywhere. Would that mean its most likely the radiator or a hose? How would I know? I'd really appreciate any advice, thank you.
EDIT: so I tested my new thermostat in hot water just to make sure it opens right and it opens at about 200 degrees f, is that too hot? I also replaced the radiator cap and I'm still overheating.
