overheating at high speeds
Hi
Before the engine swap , the radiator had a recore, and was working fine, now aftar the engine swap and moddifications the engine tneds to run hot, up to 100 Degrees celsius when doing high speed runs, as soon as you start to slow down, then after a while the temp goes back to normal. The termostat is new and works properly, as well as the fan. Could it be the recore, or is the radiator to small. The headers also runs close to the radiator, would termo wrap perhaps help.
Any advice please.
Thank you

radiator might be too small
could have a blown headgasket
could have air in the coolant system
could be a bad thermostat
....
check coolant levels first, then check if there's air in the system.

Thanks for the reply.
Its a 1986 honda 150, with a 150 engine, head was done (1mm) and the cam was reprofile and the carb was replaced by a weber 36 dcd 7. The termostate is new and working, no blown head gasket, coolant levels are normal and system has been blead. Could it have something to do with the timing or not. Still needs to get a variable cam pulley to adjust the timing.
