Overheating.......fan kicks on late, help please
Sup guys, Ill start things off by telling you what my setup is. 97 hatch. Motor is a 97 jdm type r, oem thermostat (new) oem fan switch, fluidyne radiatior, big end slim fan and spoon radiator cap.
Heres the problem, in traffic or at idle the temp gauge slowly creeps up. And when moving the temp goes back to normal. I know thats due to air passing through the radiator. First thing i did was bleed the system......that didnt help. Then I replaced the thermostat......no help there. After I replaced the thermostat I checked the fan and I noticed the fan would kick on late. The needle is about 75% up when the fan kicks on. I replaced the fan switch and im still having the same problems. I am stumped and i have no idea what the problem is. Any help or ideas are greatly apprieciated. Thanks

dude u dont have to post crossing forums.
flush the cooling system properly, see if it helps, chances are there might be a lot of deposites inside. then maybe get an aftermarket thermostat. i have heard stock one open fan @ 90 degree C +-10 degrees,
also a fan switch

Did you bleed the system with heater on hot ( needle towards the hot on climate control) ?
Is your radiator cap o.k.?
Or try getting a Mugen or Spoon thermostat.

yea the heater control was on hot but the heater was not turned on. The cap is new but its a spoon so i dont know if the caps pressure rating has anything to do with it
