Default OS CTR piston/cylinder bore...

How much should the cylinders be bored out for OS .25 CTRs?

ummm maybe 81.23mm then the honing takes the remaining .02mm to get .25mm oversize. give your pistons top the machine shop and have them number them accordingly.

If its bored out to the exact size of the pistons, the rings will get smoked won't they?

I just want to know what to tell the shop in case they ask, pretty much all their work is domestic but pistons are pistons i guess.

I forget what the piston to cyl wall clearance is supposed to be but just give that and the pistons to a shop and they should have enough intelligence to figure it out(even though they work on V8's )

each 1/4mm is .010 in inches. u will want about .0025" piston to wall clearance.

CTR pistons can handle pretty tight clearance since the skirts are coated. Make sure you give them the rings and tell them to check for end-gap tolerance.
