Default Older throttlebody on a D16Y8

I found this over in the classifieds section, and I am thinking about bidding, but I want to know if it is possible first
Check out the link, it was on a 93 Civic EX for about 2000 miles and is in perfect shape. should work on 92-95 Civics and all SOHC Del Sols. Also should work on 88-91 Civics and CRXs with a bit of a mod because of the MAP sensor mounting(I think). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1819606110
Now I have a 1998 ex coupe, with a D16Y8 engine, would i still be able to use this throttlebody?

Thanks for your help everyone

Because I never see how much people are selling the integra throttleboy's for, and i thought this would be a good piece that I could use that not many people would notice on an otherwise stock looking engine, plus the price seems good.

besides going integra throttlebody on your Y8, why do you want to buy another throttlebody that's going to be exactly as the same one you have now? ...

(Though it's my ad, hehe) The integra TB doesn't match up perfectly does it? I thought you had to fill a gap on the bottom.

any 92+ B-series throttlebody will work on your Y8 manifold. They do bolt up. I dunno what Gap your talking about unless you're talking about the clothing store.

So, any B-series TB will bolt right up to a D series manifold with no mods? Well,...even then it still doesn't say "JG" on it

heh, thanks for your help on this guys, with the JG going from a 66m to a 62m taper, my small knowledge of fluid dynamics says this might be better than just 62m (type-r) straight though. Anywho, i will keep an eye on the auction and make a decision closer to the end. Again, thanks for all your knowledge.

WRONG.....not ANY D-series manifold, only 92+ intake manifolds. Mainly EX/Si manifolds.

That's what I thought too. Then my JG Pro Series head made my engine blow up.

Do tell...? Something must be really FUBAR for an engine to blow from a head...
