Default Old School help

I need some help with an 80 accord. This thing is carbeurated and has been sitting for about a year. I know the PS is shot, and it needs a new driver rear door. I got it to start, but it wont stay running. If i keep pumping it it barely statys running, but sounds like it's bogging down ore somthign and then dies out. Any help would be appreciated. I know more about fuel injection and forced induction than this stuff right now and need to get this car moved over to my house to start working on it.

The carb is probably all plugged up from sitting for so long.

Try replacing the fuel filter and the plugs. Check the timing with a light.

The gas probably turned to lacquer and clogged up the jets. Get somebody to spray carb cleaner down the throat while you get the revs at like 2-3000. You might have to take off the carb and soak it in gasoline to clean it up. Gotta love carbuerators!!(sp)
