Hey guys. I want to try something totally different, but want your inputs on how compatible or challenging this would be. I want a 2g DSM, eclipse/talon 95-99, and I want to drop an H22a or LS/vtec or GSR in it or something. Possibly CRVtec, but it really doesn't matter. Just love the 2g dsm bodies because I owned one, but really want a more reliable engine and I want to be wicked different. Would this be possible!??? If so I want to do it. But could you tell me the main problems I may run into? (Yes I know motor mounts would have to be totally customized, but other than that.) Please post!!!! Thanks!

 

no offense, but thats a horrible idea, plus im not a big fan of bastardizations like that, it would be a pain in the *** getting everything electrical to work correctly, not to mention the motor mounts, etc

its do-able, but thats a lot of work just to put a honda engine in there, if youre gonna do it, drop in a 350

Thing is... I owned a 95 Eclipse GST and loved the car, but then I previously owned a 96 Integra LS with a B16a head. I like the 2g dsm body more than any other car out there. Integra is sweet but yeah, 2g body... just love it on the dsm. I liked the LS-Vtec motor alot more though. Thats the main reason for the idea. Don't hate on a kid with an imagination. . Thanks for your input though.

dsm should'nt even be written on ht unless it's talking shiznit about them. you want a honda motor then buy a honda

 

Oh and by the way 92bluepreludesi, why you gonna critisize a 2g dsm for being a heavy body when you drive a damn Prelude. Look up the specs, they weigh damn near the same. Hipocrits these days.
