Default oil temperature

i just put in an electric oil temp gauge and at the max its reading 175F. is that right or is my gauge messed up? it is kinda cold outside, but i would still think it gets higher than that?

Default Re: oil temperature (patrick4588)

When cruising on the freeway I usually see around < 180 But I also have an oil cooler,

If you drive in traffic, and where you are revving high, you will see higher temps

for example on the track, I can see temps over 260-270
