Oil pump upgrades!!!
Ive seen that alot of spoon stuff is just spiffy warmed over stock parts. Ive been curious if there pump comes with a forged gear like what toda has to offer or is it a stock part that was built with higer tolerances.
Im not flaming them, I am curious because this is a planed upgrade for myself as well and if the spoon pump is "all that" I may choose it.
Also Ive heard that there is a way to boost your oil pressure by shimming the pump is this a safe practice?

waste of money, just use a GSR oil pump and shim the relief spring with 1 regular flast washer and let it rip...
ask the pro and hotrod guys what pumps they use... they'll tell you a stock GSR pump.

well, you don't want TOO high of oil pressure, cause it'll be forcing oil past your seals...
I personally wouldn't do anything to potentially catastrophically shorten the lifespan of the oil pump.

Shimming the spring is an old trick. Its mostly used on road race/high perf. engines. It will bump you pressure just enough but not too much that it will harm anything. Check the Honda builders handbook vol II in the engine buildup section for more details.
