oil pump specs? B16 versus GSR, Type R? any more pressure from the 1.8 pumps?
looking for the highest output oem pump, do the gsr and type r oil pumps make more oil pressure than the B16 pump? thanks.
anyone have experience with the toda oil pump gear?

The B20 and type R uses the same oil pump. Does anyone know if the gsr and B16 are the same?

about 40 psi at idle
86 psi at high idle
80 psi with vtec engagement

i believe all are the same, type-r and gs-r, ls are same pressure numbers. i have checked with mechanical pressure guage(liquid filled) b20 i dunno about

Here's the numbers(all rated at 6,000rpm)
B16A oil pump 53qpm
B17A oil pump 54qpm
B18C oil pump 75qpm
B18B oil pump 53qpm
B16A water pump 140qpm
B17A water pump 140qpm
B18C water pump 148qpm
B18B water pump 148qpm

whwere did you get the water pump specs from?
AFAIK the B18B has a 19 tooth pump and the VTEC ones are 22 tooths, same impellers.
therefore your numebrs probly wrong dude...

The relief valve determines the oil pressure, until you max out the pump. The difference between them is the flow capabilities, as noted above.

those specs above are wrong...
specs are: 10+ idle (usually 20psi)
and 50+ (usually 70psi) at 3k rpms
and all oil pumps after 96 are the same..
