oil pump interchangeability
what's up guys? I figured I would ask you all this ? before I did it anyway.
I'm freshening up a B16A and I would like to change the oil pump and water pump out for peace of mind. The only problem is that I have a brand new oil pump and water pump downstairs in my tool chest for a GSR.
I counted the teeth on the water pump and they are the same so I know I can use that wihtout a problem. What I don't know for sure is if I can use the P75 oil pump on the B16A without having a problem. They both work in lubricating VTEC engines but I just wanted to double check with people that are smarter than me and are more experienced.
Thanks.

Are they the same OMD generation? I believe OBD-II pumps have the crank sensor built into the oil pump, while earlier generation pumps did not. Other than that, I don't see why you couldn't interchange same-generation B series VTEC pumps.
