An old filter can cause a pressure drop. I can tell when the filter is clogged on my Corolla because the oil pressure gauge doesn't go beyond halfway. Quick change and back to normal.

What weight oil are you using? It will make a difference in oil pressure.

Is it an electric or mechanical gauge?

I have an electric gauge and the sensor got clogged one time and my readings were all funky for a while, then I cleaned it out and it started working again....

You shouldn't be at 90 psi @ 3k when your car is warm...I only get that high when my car is cold....

That's weird man..
