i am having the some problems, motor is an b20/b16a head with only 30k miles on it and yes it has new valve seals and the compression numbers are still very good. it only smokes at idle and when i push it off the line in 1st and 2nd gears. i am using castrol 10w-30 and have never had this problem before. whats the deal? it didnt do it before i took the head off. the valve seals look fine and yes the rings in the block were good before i took it off and the motor wasnt used during the time the head was off. the block sat for 1.5 months. could that have something to do with it? i am stumped

 

what color is the smoke?

 

white with a bluish tint in the light, its oil i am pretty sure

could the headgasket not be sealing properly, but wouldnt that cause coolant to leak and not oil?
