Default Oil pressure on LS/vtec

I am running a stock LS bottom end with a stock GSR head with a GE LS/vtec kit-I have my oil pressure line hooked up to the GE oil filter adapter-pretty much anything above 2k rpms pegs my oil pressure gauge at 80psi+,idle is around 15-20psi-I was told since I have it hooked through the GE oil filter housing my oil press reading was going to be high-idle seems good range BUT I was wondering if 80psi+ was a little too much? any ideas? thanks!

Sounds good to me. Hell my Stock LS engine once hot runs usually 25-30psi at idle and usually cruising at 2500-3000 RPMs it will run 75-80psi of oil pressure.
