ls/vtec oil capacity
I'm trying to gather everything to make it ready for tuning..
does the oil capacity differ from the stock engine if I have mocal oil cooling kit and filter relocation kit & T3/T4 turbo are installed ?
do you think I can use the filter relocation with the Mocal oil sandwich with thermostat at the same time ?
can using reloction kit cause any pressure or any other problems in any way ?

Re: ls/vtec oil capacity
If you added an oil cooler itas going to hold more oil. Put in 4 quarts and start it and let it run, shut it down and check oil level, it will take more im sure, just fill to the full line and your ready to go. pressure drop will be minimal if any, keeping oil cool is a good idea even for a few PSI less pressure

I don't notice any pressure drop with my oil cooler but I swear it does take a second longer to build pressure on cold starts.

Its going to based upon how the relocation is for the oil cooler. I found keeping the stock location of the filter, smaller , shorter lines, no oil filter relocation, would be better in the long run. I've had several oil coolers. Hondas take a little while to get that oil pressure up. Just keep a good Eye on it.

I think I'll just use the Mocal oil thermostat sandwich with the oil cooler radiator with simple 2 lines in&out. So it would keep things simpler.
While cranking, I think I build the oil pressure. My cranking takes a bit longer than normal since I have the older version of Neptune RTP which prevents the fuel pump to run just before cranking.
