my oil light used to come on and stay on for longer than normal when i started the car, and now it stays on permanently. There is oil in the car, the head is getting oil pressure, no motor noise, and VTEC works. What else can cause this??

p/s the oil pressure sensor was just replaced yesterday and still nothing

 

Just because you have oil pressure doesn't mean that it is where it should be you can get a guage and test what it is at, if you have a manual it says how to do it in there.

 

Usually when the dummy light comes on, your getting very little oil pressure, go buy a oil pressure gauge and see if you are getting an adequit amount of pressure.

 

have one on order what can be causing this tho?

 

bad oil pump,bad oil pump gear, blockage of an oil passage, clogged pickup. Could be many things just get the oil pressure gauge hookedup and let us know.
