Oil Leak At Dipstick base
I have a '99 Civic Si with 34,000 miles on it and just discovered an oil leak. The leak appears to be at the base of the dipstick sheath or holder (or what ever the hell you want to call where you put the dipstick. I'll refer to it as the dipstick sheath throughout the post), but I'm not quite sure if it is possible to even leak there. The rest of the dipstick sheath is dry as is the rest of the engine all the way around. I did check the dipstick also to make sure it's in all the way also.
Anyone else ever see this? If so, how do you fix it?
I'm running a stock engine with AEM Short Ram Air, DC Sports Headers, Denso Iridium Plugs, and a Greddy Evo exhuast. My daily driving shift point is 5,000RPM and my "On Ramp" shift point is 7,000RPM (not daily). I change my oil also every 3,000 Miles.

Sorry, I am not sure that I can answer this, but maybe you should lower your RPM range... You're tearing your engine apart, well, not really...

Re: Oil Leak At Dipstick base (B21A)
That's what I thought at first, but the engine was built with an 8,000RPM redline and V-TEC doesn't engage until 5,600RPM. I decided Honda woulnd't have built the engine not to handle 1,000RPM less than redline shifts. Thanks for the insite though.

Yes, the dipstick can leak oil from the base of the dipstick "guide tube"..
There is an O-ring on the base of that tube that prevents it from leaking.. your O-ring may be faulty or missing.. It will also leak if the tube is not installed properly and isn't pushed all the way down...
