Default oil filter cap

Recently I had changed my oil in my GSR, however the last time I got an oil change the dealer did it and they must have put on the oil filter too tight. Now I can't get the dman thing to lossen. Right now I'm using one of those strap wrench things, but it's crap because it won't grip and with the filter being where it is it makes it more difficult to accually get it to grip. So does anyone know where I can find and actual cap that fits a honda filter. I've tried all the auto stores in my area and no one has one that will fir a honda filter. And now I'm checking with every Honda and Acura place in my area and most don't stock them or they will have to order it. SO HELP!!!

Simple.....you are chucking the Oil filter right?

Wrench......grap right into the side of the damn thing and twist They dent easy enough for the wrench to grap hold

What??? Yeah I've been using that damn strap wrench thing and it sucks. And yeah I could take a hammer to that fitler just to try and get it off. So what kinda wrench are you saying to use.

BTW I just called a store in Longmount Colorado and they have the cap wrench, so I headed up there, thanks.

Er not wrench pliers. Just ones that are big enought to get about 40% around and GRAB that sucker.

Or there is the old school way, take a long screw driver.......and a hammer.......put screw driver slightly off center........Hit with hammer.......twist screw driver

I like the pliers though, they don't make as big a mess, usually none at all.

The Honda cap won't work, the metal is too flimsy.

Option #1: VISE-GRIP (big-*** pliers).

Option #2: Screwdriver (punch and rotate technique).

Both work like a charm...but bring a few towels

I'll summerize.

Got Honda Oil filter cap wrench.... Fits perfect over test oil filter.... Metal seems strong enough, possible new edition oil cap wrench.... Later when it cools off I'm going to bring a six pack of beer to my local oil change parking lot and switch out oil fitlers.....
