Not cheap, awesome product. Off the shelve products are ok but if you want more than then you have to go to the "boutique" products. Torco, Motul, Purol, etc. The Torco SR5 is really good too. Honestly, for street driving Mobil 1 with regular oil changes is the best. Price at Costco or Walmart is awesome too. Just change every 3 to 5 thousand miles and you are gold.

It is not illegal for them to say that, whether true or not. Wording like that is a huge issue in the oil industry right now,and is the reason GM developed the dexos1 logo. An oil is NOT dexos1 certified unless in has the dexos1 logo (in green letters) on the bottle somewhere. Other manufactures will be following suit

. With OEMs pushing extended drain intervals, quality oil becomes a must, and they dont want customers duped into buying an oil that wont meet their spec, have their engine fail, then complain about it.

FWIW I use Pennzoil in everything I own or service. Its my brand choice

I found Mobile 1 synthetic to burn off faster than even conventional in the old engines. I also read many other complaints of the same thing for the older Honda's. I know Mobile 1 used to be one of the best oils but it seems to not be in the same class anymore. Or if it is, it cost a lot more as it vanishes faster than just about every other oil I've used.

That's one of the other reasons I like the current version of Pennzoil is it doesn't vanish as quickly making the longer change interval a very economical option.

Two 5 liter jugs at 50 dollars and 10 dollars for 2 oil filters for 20,000 Kilometers is 110 dollars. And if I'm lucky there is enough oil left to do the oil change. (115 total after 2nd oil change for the 3rd filter)

Then the conventional is four 5 liter jugs (3.3 liters x 4 = 13.2 liters, leaving 6.8 liters for top ups) at 35 dollars and 4 filters at 20 bucks brings the total to 160 with usually enough oil left to do the oil change. (165 total after 4th oil change for the 5th filter)
