Oil Change
I don't think 10w30 can hurt your motor, especially if it's relatively high mileage. Living in Burbank the temps don't go down that much, certainly not to freezing point.
There was an oil thread that wouldn't die in the ITR forum a few months ago. I recall one of the things discussed was oil weight, and 10w30 for our Honda/Acuras seemed to be the recommended. That's what I use, but if I find Schaeffer oil around here I'm going to go with 15w40 because my car is high mileage. Here is the link (if you have about 2 weeks):
