Not really following but, the line going from the PCV should have the catch can in it. In other words
PCV------Catch can------Intake. Or PCV------Catch can w/breather filter on top (not smog legal).

there is a lot of confusion on how this works, but it's not that difficult.

You have the oil seperator on the back of the block. The line normally runs from there, to the PCV valve, to the manifold. To add a catch can, you run the line from the oil seperator to the catch can, to the PCV, to the intake.

so you bypass the pcv on the intake manifold between the runners john?
so its this oil seperator to the can then from a pcv on the can to the intake manifold.

what kind of car do u have? you don't want to bypass the pcv valve @ all. like what was posted, you want to keep the pcv in line with the catch can and intake manifold

well then there is two pcv's one in the catch can to the intake manifold and one from the oil seperator to the intake manifold. there would be two existing pcv's
so john do i use a pcv on the intake manifold (between the runners) when routing it acually to the intake manifold, or from a pcv to the intake manifold.

Bret,

You should just give him the link and the instructions on how to build one from your site... That would benefit more people I feel...
Teken,

Good idea!!! Here is the link to my webpage: http://www.geocities.com/bretq/DIY_O...tructions.html

or

stan.. ideally.. you would want to have 2 catch cans, one hooked up inline with the PCV and intake manifold, and one inline with the valve cover and intake pipe.

thats what i have anyways.

keep in mind the more area that you open up with catch cans, the more oil psi you're losing.. I dont feel i need it, but im ****, so ill prolly be shimming my oil pump very soon.

Tony
