Default oil burning question

when i got done with swapping out my ls for an ls/v that this guy sold me so were at the track expecting it to be alot faster but it wasnt and it dumps a litthe smoke and it smells like oil burning . guy from uti said it could also be that the rings are brand new not seated yet and that sounds like bs thats why im asking

Was it a fresh rebuild? If not, it's probably not the rings. Check compression, if compression is good, it's most likely the valve seals, a PCV valve, or a bad installation.

what do u meen when u say poor instalation and im just curious i have a stock ls that runs strong should i swap the b16 head to that or just rebuild my ls vtec
