oil in b16
how many quarts does a b16 hold....the reason i ask is because i filled up with 4 quarts when i changed my oil and now im having vtec problems....it engages good in 1st gear...kinda fumbles then takes off in second...and third has no vtec at all..like u hear it crossover and it feels like it wants to go but it just bucks n bangs....my oil pan is bent up a lil too...would this have any affect...thanks
What does the dip stick indicate?
When I do an oil change, I never simply add a specific amount and close it up. Instead, I add a little less than what's listed in the manual, then check the dip stick, add a small amount more, check again, etc., until it is at the correct level.

well it looks just right on the dipstick...im guessin that it as something to do with my oil pump...vtec just aint working correctly in all gears

i only get cel 22 when i try to go into vtec in third gear...it just stumbles and there is no power...it also does it if im on the freeway and im goin like 80 and i floor it in fifth and get to about 95-100 it turns on as well...thats why i figure it has to be an oil pressure problem....im gonna go get it dyno tuned tomorrow so hopefully it takes car of the problem....
also u know how there are four cam cap studs that also hold on the spark plug cover...well one of em snapped so it only bolts on the bottom....so i leak a little oil from that small opening...now i dont know if this might be the cause but im tryin to factor things out one at a time
