On a pretty much stock Si I'd say its not worth the hassle.

 

say im piecing together a turbo kit and planning on installing it in the next yr.. would the power gain with it being boosted be worth it.. if so ill grab it for 50.00 and put it up for a couple months... thanks

Well, it will flow different than stock, requiring ECU tuning for proper usability. I've seen namebrands look like this, like a venom or an edlebrock or someone like that.

 

May be useful for moving lots of air as opposed to volumetric efficiency, just a big chamber attached to some runners, which may help with 1.5-2kPa

 

yea i thought the same thing when i seen it i was like goddddddamn that thing is big, i used to have a sr20 180sx and my hks IM wasnt even as big as that one and i had a **** ton of motor work and bigger turbo on it, thats why i was skeptical of the performance of this beast thx for the input *****s
