Looked around, did a search, still couldnt find the particular information I was looking for...
I am building a turbocharged CRVtec engine. B16A head, B20 block, you should all know the deal.
now I am building this motor to handle incredibly high boost and Nitrous applications, while still being streetable... based on what I've read over the past few months, I was told that basically, if you want to maintain good streetability to go with ITR cams.
However-
lately, as I've searched a little more, I've been hearing that for turbocharged vehicles, GSR cams are actually favorable over ITR cams.
My main question is this- nobody ever compares Si cams to GSR and ITR cams, so I'm asking someone to do that.
how are OEM B16A cams? and if it matters, my head is a newer style ('97 I believe... off of a del sol) B16A head with a 5 angle valve job, and ITR lifters.
Running high boost (20+ psi for high boost setting... 8 psi on the street) and a nice size Nitrous shot for serious big money racing... what kind of cams should I be looking at? can I use the stock B16 cams? are GSRs a good upgrade (GSRS are cheap... like 100 bucks.)
let me know what you think.
thanks in advance.

bump to the top...
I'll make the question easier for the less technically inclined.
what's better, SI cams or GSR cams on a boosted motor?

I was planning on it, but I'm anxious to hear what you have to say about it... its a little late to be changing plans, as everythings off getting balanced. I didnt think that I'd need sleeves, the machine shop that I deal with alot didnt reccomend sleeves except if I wanted to bore over the motor .
clue me in on what you're thinking.
