Default odometer sticking..in an EK

at random times my odometer sticks and my check engine light comes on shortly after....always at highway speeds (75+)...i havent tore anything apart because i still dont have tools (im broke and in the military) if anyone could throw me a suggestion i would appreciate it.

Have someone check to see which exact code the ECU is throwing and we can help you further. If the speedometer is also malfunctioning, it's likely the VSS.

omg, i have the same problem for several months now....i was elimnated at a race becuase it stop working and i had NO VTEC!!!! im bout to tear my whole dash harness out and replace it...if anyone else has some suggestions, i think we would like to here it...please help

mine started to stick in my 96 cx hatch right before 400,000miles, i happened when i pushed the trip meter. to clear it up i took out the cluster pulled off the speedo guage then took off two screws on the speedometer and took off the face and messed with the gears until they rolled smoothly and it works good now

sounds like the speedometer head could use a little lube job! LOL remove the speedo head and lube all the rotating parts with a light weight oil such as sewing machine oil. email any questions to jfastman@yahoo.com
