Default ------- Odometer not working after reinstalling ECU ---------

I have a P28 chipped from Ih8ricerz w/ jdmsh!t obd1-2 harness. After experiencing idle problems in my Si, removing the ecu, and later reinstalling it, the Tachometer no longer works - no response at all

What do I need to do to get this working? No pins seem to be bent or missing, by the way.

EDIT: It is my Tachometer! not my odometer

I thought about the fuse, but when I reinstall the stock ecu, the tach works again. I will check those contacts: but does anyone have a diagram or link?

Thanks

If you reinstall your stock ECU and the odometer works, then don't you think that there is a problem with your new ECU?

Some idiot probably burned off a wrong pin while socketing your new ECU.

It worked before on the same car. Of course I thought about that. Here's the deal:

I am an idiot because i said odometer and I meant Tachometer!!!!

Anywho... I went from stock ecu to chipped ecu. Then, after doing some work and getting idle/ richness issues, I had to go back to the stock ecu. So... after reinstalling the chipped obd1 p28 ecu, the Tachometer no longer worked.

Help. I need this ecu because it will soon be used for Crome on my turbo SOHC.

probably its wiring issue from the obd2- obd1 converter. check for the diagram and verify the pin if its connected for the rpm at the gauge.

some idiot huh?! Looks like you really know what your talking about. From the 4 years of doing ecu's.... I've never heard of a problem with the Tachometer from the ecu's I've chip. Check your harness...PM Newman or contact jdmshit to see if it is a wiring problem from their harness.

Yeah. All evidence is pointing to the harness.

And to slomofo: iH8RICERZ is not some idiot who doesn't know what he is doing. Search around on this board and ask people "in the know." They will all tell you, he definitely knows what the hell he is going on with chipping/socketing and ecus in general.
