Odd Problem at the Gas Station
Last night I was on my way back to school and I stopped to get some gas. I allready had a 1/4 tank maybe a little more, but the pump said I put 11.257 gallons in. I drive a 00 Si and have never had to put more than 10.5 gallons in and that was well into the gas light since I am pretty sure the car has an 11 gallon tank when bone dry. I tried talkin to a manager but they more or less laughed at me.
Anyhow, I am just curious if anyone else has ever had a problem like this.

Trust me...My car has never taken more than 10.2 Gallons in the past 5 years. I didn't realize the tank was 11.9, but I didn't have room for more than at most 9 gallons. Plus I only had about 245 miles on the tank and I get 30 mpg solid, I check every time I get gas.
This is what I am thinking...Since they treated me like a 5 year-old when I asked, I reported them to the department of weights and measures. My friend from the town its in says they have a bad reputation there too.

that happened to me.
I start up the pump and the little thing on the side its like a half glass with a windmill in it that turns (tells you theres gas) and it was like lots of bubbles and **** for the first half way.. and it didnt pump any faster once it got right up full.
O well, i didnt go to that place again.

I got a response from the department of weights and measures. They said they would transfer it to the right county and make sure they followed up directly with me. Seem to be nice to deal with so far.
