Octane question
Excuse me for beating a dead horse here but I'm going to adjust my idle tomorrow using the proper procedure and upon doing some digging I ran into an issue with what the proper octane is so that the computer learns fuel trims correctly after a reset. The problem I'm having is these two treads. They have contradicting information. I've been using 89 in the car since I've got it. Just need some solid information on what is correct.
This one says 87

I did something really neat, you may not have ever done anything like this.
I went to this site called www.google.com and typed in 1993 honda civic ex owners manual. I looked at the results and some of them had the owners manual. I opened the manual and in the table of contents I went to Gasoline, found that page, and looked at it. It said they recommend using a minimum of 86 octane.
