Default OBD2b-OBD2a Question

Can someone explain me what is the difference?

Im currently running a 97 B18C1 with 97 ecu and will be swapping it for a 01 B18C1 but stil using the 97 ecu.

What problems if any will this cause?

The '96-2001 GSR motor didn't change so you won't have a thing to worry about... If this is in an '96-98 EJ then just move over your existing harness (the one that's modified for your current B18C) and drop in your new motor... If it's for a '96-99 DC then the same goes, use your existing engine harness on your 2001 motor and plug in your old ECU... It's as simple as that, Latez

It is installed into my 93 civic. I used the civic wiring harness on my current 98 B18C1.


I was more worried about that the ecu's were different. but ill just use the 98 ecu and my current harness and everything will be good, thanks for the reassurance
