Default OBD2B ecu in OBD2A vehicle.

I have a obd2b socketed p28 from hondata. Its going to run my 96 GSR (Obd2a). I notice two of the sockets between the two types are the same, but one is different. Does anyone make a jumper harness for this application? Thanks.

They make good stuff? That would be convienient, but I would rather sell the one I have and loose a hundred or two buying a new ecu, rather than deal with pinfit problems. Anyone else vouch for rywire? Furthur more, what is the difference between obd2a and obd2b? Other than obviously the pins and connectors are different? This ecu I have is technicaly a obd1 p28 thats socketed for obd2b. You cant install hondata s300 in any obd2 ecu, correct? It has to be an obd1 or 0bd0 right?

the difference between OBD2a and OBD2b is the pin outs.
yes it's an OBD1 P28 in a case that has an OBD2b to OBD1 harness built in.
Hondata is OBD1 only (except the k-series stuff)

I have no clue why that ECU wouldn't work fine in your car, my guess was they meant direct plug in.
Rywire is seriously good stuff. It will work perfectly.
there's also http://www.xenocron.com and http://www.phearable.net both have great stuff as well.
I'll vouch for all three.

All of those are the same as I designed and built them all. So it really doesn't matter who you get it from.
