Default OBD2a --->OBD1 Conversion check engine light diagnose?

I have a 1998 Integra which is OBD2a... I have a OBD1 conversion harness with a chipped p28. Would I be able to jump the service connector just like in the 94-95 integra's in order to read the codes?
