Obd2 Timing Adjustment??

do I need to jump the service connector when adjusting timing with obd2? (d16y8) Some of the search results say you need to only with obd1? need to know asap.. thanks for any input!

Yes, Right side under dash. 2-pin timing connector. Use a paperclip.
