Default Obd2 D15b/Y8 Timing Question

Looking for some information on a build im finishing up just need to pick out the timing belt that I need. I have a jdm obd2 d15b bottom end that i have rebuilt for a low boost application and put a usdm d16y8 head on its all together but ive been researching on the timing belt that I need. At first I was gonna just run it as the full d15b and i was gonna order the timing belt off the internet for that, but now that Im using the y8 head my question is being the d15b bottom end is basically a y series bottom end would having the y8 head to it be the same timing gear wise as a usdm y8 and use a ex timing belt or is the timing gear different. I dont have a y8 crank gear to compare it too and my searches through the d15b FAQ and other forums are all regarding either the obd1 d15b or z6 heads. Thank You

Default Re: Obd2 D15b/Y8 Timing Question

I compared the crank gear to a z6 gear I had and it was the same in size and matched up tooth for tooth so looking at this as if it were a y8 head on a z6 swap would it be a y8 timing belt and good to go or a z6 timing belt and adjust the y8 cam gear 4.5 degrees
