OBD1 ECU help please
i have a 2001 Integra GSR im converting to obd1 will i gain any kind of performance just from the ECU alone no chips or reprogamming done at all (STOCK) And im planning getting the s100 system in the mail very soon from hondata. Has anyone ever done this before if so please tell me exactly what I have to do b/c im not understanding the sites instructions and i dont wanna **** this ECU up. Thanks again
Will VTEC or anything be different from the ECU im running now (obd2)

changing to stock P72 OBDI ecu might net you 2-5whp @ most, but if the car is modified it saves alot of headaches from the emission related codes (check engine)
Just be sure to get a GSR ECU (P72) if you want the Vtec to remain the same. They are pretty much the same for OBD1 and OBD2.
If you get a different ECU (for an Si, or Type-R), your Vtec crossover will be diffenent.
But if you are getting a Hondata soon. I wouldn't worry to much about that. Because with the Hondata you can set the crossover where ever you want. You won't have the best power throughout the RPM range with a different ECU. But it also won't hurt the engine. If the Hondata will be installed and tuned soon after the you get the ECU, I would just go with any Vtec ECU that you can fine. Go with the best deal you can fined.
However, if you are planning on keeping your GSR IM, you will NEED to get a GSR ECU. If you don't, the Intake Butterfly Valves will not work. Only the GSR has them, and only the GSR ECU will run them.
Did you get an OBD2 to OBD1 Converter Harness? Because your OBD2 ECU Plugs will not fit the OBD1 ECU.
